♦ Recording occurs against the default recording device set up in Windows. On Vista : On XP : ♦ Make sure you select the Stereo Mix, or the equivalent, as the recording source, as this is what you are listening to. Adjust the slider level down if you find the recording is distorted. On Vista : On XP : ♦ Clicking "Record" in the uppermost DJ Surface menu will open the recording window. If it is possible to record at that point, you see a button inviting you to start recording. Once started, the button will prompt you to stop. ♦ DJ Surface records in MP3, WMA or WMA Pro format at the following rates : 32 kbps - WMA (no licence installed) 64 kbps - MP3 & WMA 128 kbps - MP3, WMA and WMA Pro 192 kbps - MP3, WMA and WMA Pro 256 kbps - MP3, WMA and WMA Pro 320 kbps - WMA
