1) The Info Area.
The info area shows the current track BPM, the frequency monitor and the deck status light.
2) The Speed Area.
The speed area allows you to adjust the speed of the track by using a slider, or clicking the speed buttons, to increase or decrease the track speed.
The BPM Assistant attempts to listen to a deck currently in the mix and, as closely as it can, tries to match the BPM.
3) The EQ Area.
The EQ area allows you to alter the bass, mid and high frequencies of a track. You can also click on pre-set adjustments and frequency kill buttons.
4) The Volume Area.
Adjust the volume you hear on your main mix speakers and monitor headphones.
5) The Track Select & Cue Area.
Select your track to be played in the deck. Set your cue point, the starting point you wish the track to begin at.
6) The Cross Fader Area.
Tell the cross fader which decks will participate in the cross fade by clicking 'A' or 'B', which refer to either end of the cross fader (see below)
7) The Fingertip Control Area.
The fingertip control area allows you to slightly speed up or slow down the track by pressing and holding the buttons. This allows you to bring a track back to the beat that has slightly drifted off the beat.
8) The Track Position Area.
The track position allows you to click on any part of teh track waveform illustration in order to start playing the track at that point. Only works when not in the main mix. Used in conjunction with track cueing.
The DJ Surface Cross Fader has the following sections :
1) Max A button
The 'Max A' button sets the deck A mix fader value to the maximum allowed, and sets the deck B mix fader value to zero.
2) One-Click Cross Fader movement
These buttons allow you to control the position of the cross fader with one click.
3) Max B button
The 'Max B' button sets the deck B mix fader value to the maximum allowed, and sets the deck A mix fader value to zero.
4) The Cross Fader
Move the cross fader between A and B to move the mix faders of both deck A and deck B accordingly.
5) Max A slider
This slider allows you to set how high the mix fader on deck A will go.
6) Cross Fader Style
The cross fader style determines how the mix faders move in relation to each other. The options are : linear , power and extreme.
7) Max B slider
This slider allows you to set how high the mix fader on deck B will go.
